I started to be involved in Shutters many years ago, having explored endless options for my own windows at home.  Curtains reduce the size of the window, they can be expensive to buy, dry clean and replace. Venetian blinds have limited options they go up and down, open or close.  Similarly vertical blinds go backwards and forwards and open or close. They all move when the windows are open making them noisy and possibly easier to break. All blinds are governed by unsightly chains or chords which makes a very child unfriendly product. 

Shutters are different, a solid carpentry product, made to measure, fitting into any shape and size, finished to perfection – like they were always meant to be at every window.  I like the versatility that Shutters have to offer, the clean lines and the grand appearance of the wood from both the inside and out.  You always notice a house with Shutters installed!  I believe a shutter can alter the overall appearance of a window opening, a Bay becomes bigger and brighter instead of hidden.  A shaped window becomes more beautiful.
